Typical range on BotNots
Most cobot models in our comparison table use 6 DOF
All seven models currently listed in the BotNots comparison table use 6 DOF. That makes six-axis motion the baseline for this comparison set, while reach, payload and tooling still decide application fit.

Why it matters
DOF affects how easily a cobot can approach a part, avoid fixtures, maintain tool angle and recover from constrained poses. More usable motion flexibility can simplify integration, but it does not replace checking reach, payload, tooling clearance and application safety.
